Will it be filled up with water at the time of flow or will the boat wait there until Spring, Andrew? These scenes are really wondrous for us who live on this part of the world. Nice light and lovely conversion as usual with your shots.

The creek, a branch of the River Axe, is entirely tidal, Nezih, filling up twice a day at high tide then emptying. The tidal range in the Bristol Channel is the second highest in the world (after the Bay of Fundy, I believe). The boat is lived in but I've never seen it put to sea!

I really value this forum because the members offer brilliant images from all over Europe which we'd never normally see. (The images also inspire me to want to go to these places some day!)
Best wishes,

Andrew

Thank you for the info, Andrew. The owner then seems to have found the most suitable place for his boat. I've seen on ePhotozine how drastic the tidal range is at the harbour in Charlestown, Cornwall in the photos taken there. It must be too difficult to secure the boats with that much difference.

I think the same with you and also share the same feeling very often.

Terrific B&W conversion and the scene is a perfect candidate for it. Did you get muddy feet getting this shot?

Bet the radar doesn't get much use!
Paul.

Ha! The sea-gulls use is as a perch, Paul.

It's usually strictly welly country round here, David, even the top of the levees are soggy but I chose a morning of hard frost with frozen ground!
Best wishes,

Andrew
