The Sentinel of the Estuary

This Tower at Portmeirion looks out over the estuary, with it's meandering streams which carve strange paths in the sand banks. Below the tower, to the right, stands a statue of Nelson and partially hidden, on the far side, is the cottage called 'White Horses' where Patrick McGoohan lived whilst writing and performing 'The Prisoner'

Appreciate the explanation and love the image. The muted colours put me in mind of the hand colouring of black and white prints with inks that we used to do back in the days before colour films became universally available.
