Mamhead
by morpheus71
The Exe estuary and Exmouth from the lofty Mamhead Woods - late on a winter's day. Mist buntings swirled periodically through the treetops and periodic patches of light from the occident illuminated parts of the eastern flank of the Exe valley.

Many thanks indeed Donna 😊 Really glad my brother's family chose this place to meet up for a walk, I shall have to visit the place again. A winter sunrise over the sea from this spot would be a wonderful thing to experience, I'm sure!
Breathtaking layering!

Many thanks Giulio 😊 such a vastly wide vista from this lofty spot, I'm keen to try a panoramic there on a windless day.

Many thanks Malc😊 This commanding vista from 230m a.s.l. upon Obelisk Hill, is grand indeed - birches and pines cloak the steep hillside, with many walking routes through them. I could see a glimpse of the distant cliffs of Beer and Branscombe, far along the Jurassic Coast and later watched them catch the last of the afterglow light just before the rains returned.
A stunning landscape and such dof
