Yes...it was very obliging.

Probably helped that my ISO setting was on 3200 already as it was in the shade under a leaf canopy.

Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

It was the DA*300 David.

Couldn't have been the 55-300 WR because at 300mm that would have been f/5.8 rather than f/5.

I've a feeling i'd only just got the DA* 300 by then and was trying it out trying to capture some wildlife.
