Juxtaposition

This is an old horse bridge over the river Kennet which is also part of the Kennet & Avon Canal.
The gentle ramps were to enable the towing horses to make an easy crossover where the canal towpath moved from one bank to the other.
Nowadays it is cyclists who are grateful for the gentle slopes as the canal towpath is part of the National Cycling Network.
What caught my eye was the melody of angles subtended by the railings, their shadows, the bridge and the reflections.
