B1 'Mayflower' at Stratford

This my second attempt at capturing a steam hauled train at this location. This time there was plenty of exhaust and Mayflower's attractive green livery gave a splash of colour. Shame the sky was flat grey but you can't have everything!

Passing right by my birthplace! A friend of mine rode behind this engine a few days ago so I sent him a photo to remind him that we had done that together more than thirty years ago! A nicely balanced shot!

I love the B1s, equal to the LMS 'fives' in my opinion. You picked a wonderful backdrop for this view.
