I remember that day well. The meeting was abandoned with several races to go because the circuit's back straight was beginning to ice up...

Yes Giulio, it was a flurry of snow, and as Simon mentioned above, the track actually became too icy to race on later in the day. Thankfully, there is a good cafe in the middle of the circuit at Mallory to supply mugs of hot tea and coffee!
