I have had a play around with this as suggested, increased contrast, toned down the highlights in the sky, also cropped the bottom to give sky more impact.Please tell me if you think its an improvement.

The clouds are better in this shot but the crop was unnecessary IMHO.

Russell, the sky is much better but I prefer the tones of the stones in the original version. They are too bright in this one.
