There is a structure similar to this I visited when I was a kid. Lucy the Elephant house is a132-year-old elephant-shaped structure located in Margate, New Jersey. She stands at the edge of the sand, looking out at the ocean beach and is visible from 8 miles out at sea, thus making New Jersey the only coastline in the world marked by a six-story-high, elephant-shaped navigational aid.

This is a mobile elephant. All of up to three kms an hour. Nantes , France, is the birthplace of Jules Verne and wants to become the steampunk capital of the world. If you are interested, look up "Machines of the Isle of Nantes" or anything of the sort and follow the various links. All worth looking up and seeing. People are beginning to come from all over the world. Nantes also hosts a well-known Si-Fi festival in November.
