Steam in a storm

Battered by high winds and heavy rain the newly restored Jubilee Class express loco 'Bahamas' forges up the Long Drag to Ais Gill summit on the Settle and Carlisle Railway on Saturday with a charter train from Keighley to Carlisle.
The weather didn't help photography either.
Train speed approx. 35-40mph. Shutter speed 500sec. ISO 2000.
K3 + D FA70-200mm lens at 70mm.

Looks as if it is going considerably faster. Great portrait.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Strong lines and plenty of contrasting, billowing smoke. POV impeccable. Like a lot.
