Fountains Abbey

by fritzthedog

As our intended gathering at Fountains Abbey tomorrow was called off - I decided to nip up there this afternoon as it is my last day of holiday.

I have taken this sort of shot there before but this time I had the camera on the tripod and this is an in-camera HDR converted to b+w

Strong shot. Place doesn't seem to have changed since I was last there 40 years ago, with (doubtless) FP4 in my camera!

+1 to that.

Now this is what I call as a 3D look combined with brilliant symmetry and superb lighting.
