Thanks Giulio The Curlews blend exceptionally well into an estuarine landscape... Occasionally, and seemingly suddenly, one catches a glimpse of them for a few moments. Very handy that the hide is quite a few feet above the the river, as when one is at their level they manage to do awesome camouflage against the riverbank shrubbery!

Thank you very much for your kind words It was a special moment seeing a Curlew so close up for the first time, having heard them so many times before and only catching fleeting glimpses. Wonderful to be able to visit this place and watch the wildlife without interrupting the animals.
