Get there very very early, as yesterday less than half the circuit was open to spectators as they still have a lot of heavy earth moving machinery etc trying and get it back to as it was a couple of years ago before the F1 bid fiasco. Can`t see it being fully open for the touring car meet ... and with the full circuit it used to be jam packed anyway (I might give it a miss simply for that reason).

Thanks for warning, tend to get there early, been there last couple of years, not yet walked round full circuit lol.
I tend to take more pics on the Saturday when there's less people, certainly was last year, and watch the racing on the Sunday.
Out of interest where was this shot taken from ? (were you inside fencing ?)

No, outside the fencing between the Old Hairpin and Starkeys. The path is fairly close to the fence so it is easier to get rid of it in photos and the tracks drops at this point so walk down a bit and then shoot as they come around and over the top.I was walking to the grass bank on that side to get a few panning shots over the top of the fence (the bank is high enough in a few places), when I stopped to get some shots from here. Then the session ended so I never did get my panning shots. The infield was closed except for Wheatcroft Straight to Roberts, Fogarty & Melbourne were not in use for the test session. Even the infield at Redgate and Hollywood was not in use but probably will be on the race meeting date
