Hello David, Great shot, if I hadn't seen "Draken"s comment above, I'd have probably given it 5/5, yes, its true the focus is slightly in front of the eye, did you use a 50mm 1.4 for this shot?

Was down the garden looking for spiders to photograph with my 100mm Macro. Pulled cover off compost heap and there it was. No time to compose the shot or anything fancy - just had to grab the shot before the snake shot off into the undergrowth!! Yes I do wish the focus had been a bit sharper. Been back to look a few times since but no luck in getting a second chance...
