Great shot! I also like the pipework of the engine. Very "British" photo subject.

Happy New Year!

Another green 9F Andrew - there should only be one - Evening Star. However it looks good. I love the 9Fs and I've got a shot of this very one in BR lined-out mixed traffic black livery on the North Yorks Railway and it looked good like that as well. When I was young the 9Fs came blasting past where I lived in Consett with iron ore trains from Tyne Dock. Had many unofficial footplate rides on them - and once an official trip with an authorised North Eastern Region footplate pass. I didn't realise 92212 was now on the SVR.

Nice composition.
They used to thunder up and down the Great Central too at very high speeds on coal trains known as 'windcutters' until the inspectors put a stop to it (the trains were loose coupled, unbraked and the engines only have plain bearings!). The crews called them 'spaceships' due to the modern design and huge footplate area.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass
