Posing Village Boys

by nonur

These lads calmed down after a skirmish on the bridge and posed to the camera late in the afternoon.
Their skirmish can be viewed in my page in ePhotozine.

Well they look pretty harmless to me Nezih but perhaps they're on their best behaviour for the camera. It's an engaging group portrait with their subtly differing expressions.
You've cut the head of the nearest lad but even though I saw that immediately it's not really that important.
When wandering with the camera I tend to keep aperture priority at max. aperture producing minimum DOF so the BG is well blurred for people shots. For more general shots, or where the BG is important I generally keep shutter priority at about 1/100s which is just fast enough to handhold my camera with the 17-70 Sigma used at 70mm but not have to worry about the shake reduction lag before shooting.

Regards, Ian.
