Estuary nighfall

by davidtrout

Severn Estuary from Clevedon looking west to the South Wales coast. Taken about 10pm from my hotel window in almost total darkness with just a little afterglow.
K3+DA*50-135mm lens at 50mm ISO 1600 and -2EV to defeat the meter trying to over compensate for the darkness. The original RAW image looked almost black.

Very beautiful, I love the colours and it almost looks other worldly.

Love the way the sand bar mirrors the clouds and the sea the sky

Marvellous shot David, I think you have nailed this one.

One in the eye for those who say you can't recover shadow details with a K-3! Not bad for ISO 1600 either.

As above. Just a joy to look at. Serene locking down time.
