The Pier
by davidstorm
The old Victorian Pier at Colwyn Bay is ready for demolition, but until then it is it is a haven for thousands of Starlings that roost underneath it each night. As they return to the roost they make patterns and waves in the sky. Perched on top of the scaffolding structure at the end of the pier sits a Peregrine Falcon, waiting to pounce on its supper (it's a bit small to see but it is there believe me).

This is real corker David, I think your expo is spot on here, lovely effect on the water.
You just have to humour Shaun, he just wanted to run around shouting for a bit

Very Nice. I love the angle and I especially like the shutter speed, just a hint of blur but still very discernible. Good choice.
I usually love the super long exposures like this, but this pleases me, seeing the waves while being gently led out of the photo along the pier towards the clouds !!!
More please
