It's a nice shot but seriously under-exposed. I took the liberty of checking the Levels in Photoshop and the difference a bit of post processing work makes is remarkable.

It's a beautiful composition. I am probably with Andrew on this one as I am one for ensuring the levels in my images are right, but on the other hand I think the sombre light actually suits the mood too.

Interesting that Andrew and David comment on underexposure as the finished image is rather lighter than the actual conditions at the time. The sky was almost black and the rocks are lit by the street lights on the promenade behind, the lights on the ship are overexposed in reality. A difficult balancing act I suppose which didn't quite come off Thanks for your comments.

After taking another look at this photo, I seriously see nothing here to complain about. I like it just the way it is...still strikes me as a beautifuly presented image...IMHO! 😉

It wasn't meant as a criticism as such. More a suggestion of how I'd do it. After some work in Photoshop, those rocks and cliffs glow with life while the sky remains threatening and dark.
