Nice shot Mat, I like the colours and the details of the Mallards. But the backgroud is too bright, has vivid colours and distracts my attention.

I like this, sharp colours and detail. You cannot do better with 21mm lens.

Thanks folks. I know what you mean, Gábor, about the background, but the light was tricky yesterday. There was bright sun but it was low in the sky (it was quite early), so shining very strongly onto the trees in the background; whilst the ducks were in the shade on the deck at the side of their pond (I had to use a bit of on-board flash to illuminate them). Overall though I was pleased with the result. I really rate the 21mm DA Ltd lens. It's pretty versatile and I like taking shots like this with it... you have to get pretty close in though

The 21mm's given a nice perspective, also being low
down has made the shot "Duck's Eye Level"
