Redwing

by RobL

Captured quickly through the bedroom window, luckily just been cleaned! This fellah is still wet from bathing in my pond. Gone before a chance of a second shot.

What a lovely bird and a great shot, to see it through your bedroom window is the bonus

Who needs a second, third, etc shot? This one will do perfectly well. Very nice pose and colouration. Like.

"Keep that camera handy!" Here's the proof of it.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Thanks all, I keep an exposure setting for the 150-450mm in the camera presets of TAV 1/1000 sec at f8 and spot focus so I can quickly put the lens on and go. Also in the preset I disabled focus from the exposure button and use the lens buttons instead. Modified slightly in the second preset for tracking, easier and quicker just to click the button one turn if needed.

Super capture of a super thrush. Ive only ever seen one redwing in my garden and only seen one fieldfare but had a mistle thrush wintering for about a month and chased every other birds away. Liked.
