Q at Baigents Copse
Maunsell Q class 0-6-0 30541 heads a freight through Baigents Copse in Chawton Woods near Alton during the Mid Hants Railway's Spring Steam Gala. The Q was visiting from the Bluebell Railway

The trees are so sculptural that it seems a shame to crop them out....I have a shot from later in the sequence where the loco fills the frame more, but this picture is as much about the interplay of light and shade and the greys and browns of cloud and winter stems and dead leaves as the 80 tons of speeding loco!
