Excellent shot Jerzy, if it is straight out of the camera then it is truly outstanding and I do like it very much

The complementary blue/yellow combination enlivens this atmospheric night scene. The stored bicycles hint of action when night turns to day. POTW territory.

Overflowing with that hard-to-describe early morning feeling when it is silent and there is a slight chill that that you can almost smell. This is a good one.
Can we have some more detail about the handcarts though? What do these people do with them?

Hello, and thank you all for your commentaries.Overflowing with that hard-to-describe early morning feeling when it is silent and there is a slight chill that that you can almost smell. This is a good one.

Regarding an earlier question, the photos posted are never as they come out of the camera (mostly K-70, or K-50, K-r, or [but rarely because of size and weight and too many never used functions] K-3).
Always at least sharpened, denoised, and the definition enhanced.
Mostly with the Apple Photos basic functions or an app called Aurora for colour and Tonality for B&W.
As for the handcarts, the island of Sein off the NW tip of France is small (some 50 odd hectares), there are three utility vans (including standard French red ambulance/fire-brigade vehicle), a couple of forklifters, the alleys are narrow, and zigzagy and the distances are not great.
The only practical way of carting stuff (supplies, luggage, materials) around is by handcarts.
Every house has one.
Cheers.

Hi Jerzy, don't you have problems with sharpness using Photos for Mac? Everything I post loses a considerable degree of sharpness, to the point that I have now gone back to ON1 and thus I have to go through the learning curve all over again. Apparently it is known but will hopefully be addressed with this year's OS update in October.
Paul.

Sharpness is my obsession.
I have and use five Pentaxes: K-r, K-50, k-70, K-3, Q-10, and am waiting for an Optio AZ18.
I regularly check the camer's INFO setting to make sure the setting is on bright and contrast is on +2 and sharpness on +4.
Only one of my four Macs has a retina screen and the resolution on the oldest (and favorite because it has all the USB, ethernet, lightening, etc., connections and CD reader) is pretty mediocre so I push the Photo's sharpness setting to full sharpness and only then do I begin dabbling.
Using mainly Skylum apps.
In a word, do not fully trust what you see on the screen.
Denoising also decreases definition.
In reality, the Pentax lenses are pretty good and pre-Retina Macs tend to drag behind most PCs in screen definition.
Try going into the Mac system settings and increase the screen contrast.
All this is a bit mixed up as I am writing off the cuff.
ps: I have often considered switching to PC, but...
Cheers.
Keep in touch.
