Master photographer Jim Lycett

by davidtrout

The late Jim Lycett who died in 2024 was a widely respected photographer in Northern England . The quality of his work and his collection of photographic equipment, some it historic, were legendary. My photograph of him, at his Darlington home, was part of a Durham Photographic Society project on prominent people of influence from various backgrounds in the arts, sport commerce etc. Our project led to a print exhibition in the region several years ago.

I can absolutely understand what he was about and your portrayal (I won't say 'portrait') gives a marvelous impression of this.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass
