Alder cones

This deserved a macro lens, but I only had the 'kit' DAL 18-55 with me. I think that this lens is surprisingly good for close-up use. At f/6.7 the DoF is quite small, but it let me hand-hold under breezy conditions at 1/250 with autofocus on 'C'. I have cropped the image a bit, cloned out some insect damage to the leaf and done a bit of PP.
