Spitfire

by truckerathome

Spitfire taken at Old Warden many years ago on a Pentax Z1p on slide film and with a 70-200 zoom . Scanned, and a little bit of tidying up in Photoshop.

Excellent original capture/composition of the aircraft and well processed from slide - well taken. Rare to see a spit with clipped wings, possibly a carrier spit.

IIRC the clipped wing Spits wre 'low level' aircraft.

This is a really good shot, Martin. It must have been pretty low! It is the Mk.Vc from the Shuttleworth collection, I think. It was flown by the Czech 310 squadron which accounts for the Czech roundel in front of the cockpit. They sound great too, don't they? Thanks for showing us this.

Best wishes,

David W
