The Gothic cathedral took nearly six centuries to complete. First stone laying was in 1386. It is the fourth largest cathedral in the world and the largest in the Italian state territory. Wikipedia offers an interesting info.

Astondingly beautiful photo this Cathedral is really like it is made from lace, and definatly worht looking at Wikipedia for more info. Best wishes Patricia
