Bovisand sunset
Taken at a local beach by chance really as I was actually taking photos of birds but then I turned around and this is what I saw.

Hmm thanks greytop, what you have said is interesting as I thought the vessel helped the picture by filling some of the space and gives you something to focus on. Without the vessel I would have thought the picture would be a bit bare.
It would be good to see other opinions.
I may even attempt to PS it out just to see.
thanks again

Pentax K7 and K5 and several black tubey things with magnifying glass in that twist around and move in and out - to be honest I am not sure exactly what I have. Will list the proper names one day..

I agree with Pete. Without the ship the picture would have been just another sunset. As it is there's drama as well a beauty in the scene.

I agree the vessel adds to the picture.
I would have liked to see the result if the horizon was slightly lower in the image, giving a bit more moody sky and filling the foreground with the swirling sea and rocks.
But its still a good shot

jon,
Thankyou for your comments .
This shot was taken some distance from the shoreline with a 300mm lens set at 200 and was cropped quite a bit to get what I got here. If I had cropped in any tighter I think I would have started to get pixelated..
I do see what you are saying and agree with you Thanks again
