Woodland walk

by LennyBloke

An ultrawide is always a good choice to take in the bag when wandering through the woodlands, everywhere you turn there appears to be potential for great images - but the vast majority don't translate well from my eye to the final image, so I was pleased to be able to tease out the detail from the shadows whilst trimming the highlights and retaining the beautifully natural browns and greens in this composition.

Hope you enjoy it, it's much better viewed larger

Lovely image with great detail and superb lighting. There is always something special about sunlight through the trees but as you have said getting the detail in the highlights and shadows can be a difficult balancing act - one you have pulled off brilliantly here

Glad that you put up this one LennyBloke , taken by the new FF 21mm.
It appears to enhance that micro contrast, lending very nice 3d depth to the photograph.
Proper pop, is this.
