Another back garden capture while giving the repaired K3iii a quick test. The camera was in the repairers care for nearly 7 months - at least 6 of which were waiting for Pentax to supply the required part!
Happy to have it back now and after so long its like having a new camera

What when wrong with the K3lll, I have its predecessor K3 ll but have hankered after the K3 lll as it appears a better camera on paper.

Entirely my own fault, a trip with the FA*300mm attached - pulled the mount off the K3iii body (very cleanly I have to say), the mount was happily attached to the lens not the camera! I did reattach the mount but suspected it would not be too secure. The repairer said the mirror box (which the mount is screwed into) needed to be replaced, and it was the poor after care service from Pentax in supplying the part that was the problem. I suspect that had I gone via Pentax's official repairer in the UK (John Pye) it may have been a little quicker but much costlier - based on past experience!

Thank you - The camera does seem to be spot on again, which is a big relief. Definitely the best aps-c DSLR you can get
