Many thanks for the warm welcome, yes I intend to fully research as much as possible before parting with any cash - I'm at the point where within the limitations of my A20 I can operate it manually and am comfortable in doing so - obviously a bigger step to a DSLR is somewhat more vast and difficult. hoping to find a good one that will see me through a good while and wont grow out of nor get tired from its over complicatedness.

Nice pic, it's not the camera that counts it's the finger on the button that matters.
