Olympic cauldren and stadium

by abam48

This is a picture I took during my second visit to the stadium for the Paraolympics.

I really wanted to get the cauldren and I couldn't first time because I was sat at the opposite end. A very nice Gamesmaker let me go up to the perfect spot to get it second time tho.

I'm going to have this printed on canvas as a memento.

Shot at 11mm with the 8-16 sigma prior to evening session.

That's a fantastic position. I managed to get a similar shot but not from behind the flame and only after splicing 4 shots together to make a panorama. What an excellent memento of a brilliant event.

This is precisely the kind of published shot that the organisers didn't want to see thus, I love it!
