Black 5 at the Olympic Park

Steam hauled charter train passes the Olympic Stadium and The Orbit on it's way to Canterbury. Just a shame that the driver didn't open up the regulator until the loco was out of shot. A decent steam plume would have made for a better shot.

A fascinating view of the old and the new. I agree with you about the regulator, pity driver's didn't have more consideration for photographers.

This is just about the spot where I was born and where I did my train spotting in the 50s. Thus, a B17 would look more appropriate in this location! Just a pity there is not one available!
