I like these street shots. The form an important record of life today.
Best wishes,
Andrew

I agree - at some time a lot of these disappear and some 'character' seems to be lost

The bike shop - I remember well in my racing days Denton Cycles in Westgate Road, Newcastle. On a Saturday everyone who was anyone in in the local cycling club scene gathered there. It was more than a shop, it was a social centre.
This picture brings back many happy memories and its also a terrific documentary of the local street landscape.

Takes me back to my teenage time-trialling days - I never had the balls for track as I discovered at Paddington one summer's evening! H.R. "Tich" Morris was the proprietor of my local shop, a pokey little business in Walthamstow, East London. Tich was a gentleman who always took pity on us impoverished schoolboys and would invariably give us a great deal. He built frames as I had never seen before, or since - the lugwork consisted of his initials, HRM. Sadly, I was never able to afford one. I was amazed to read online that he died only about five years ago thus he had been cycling into his nineties! Wonderful days! Thanks for the memory Paul.
Paul.
