I had intended to write "Bird brain?", but wanted to avoid being accused of incorrectness regarding animals. In our day and age everything is possible. The being in the photo is, however, a bird, and it does have some kind of brain. Despite the tireless devotion of the male, the twigs and strands of grass kept slipping off the metal, or were blown off, or shuffled off by the female, and the eggs kept rolling away. Should one intervene or not in natural processes? The attempt at hatching has, since, been given up, and the eggs abandoned.
