Rainbow combined - second attempt
by mikeprotts
Learning how to merge - using GIMP now. The colours are not quite right, and the cloud was moving fast, so I may try joining where there was more of a break in the cloud.

Better - but the join can still be seen. I don't know if you can do a colour/ exposure correction in the sky on one of the images to first try and match with the other, and then merge?

I'm working on the merge. The colours have been corrected a bit, but even with a few seconds between images, the clouds had moved quite a bit, and the lens perspective is probably an issue. The left image needed to rotate several degrees, but it may work better if I rotate the right image (or both), keep a bigger overlap and use a gradient to merge - something I've never done before so I'm learning as I go.Better - but the join can still be seen. Thanks for the tips.
