Approaching Newcastle

by davidtrout

Steam was out on the main lines of Britain at the weekend. The A4 class 'Bittern' took the train from London to Edinburgh on Saturday and back again as far as York yesterday.
Here it is heading into Newcastle Central with the City's castle in the background.
K10+5-135mm lens at 135mm, then cropped in closer.

Great shot, David. You do exploit mainline steam very effectively.

Thanks for your comments fellas. My eyes must have been tired when I submitted this, it looks like it has a wonky lean to me.
