The Highlands and Islands tour train crossing the River Tyne on Newcastle's King Edward Bridge en route from London to Edinburgh double headed by two locomotives, Flying Scotsman and Mayflower.

Nice contrast between the early BR green and the later adopted Brunswick green. A rare combination. All we need is an apple green Tornado in the shot !
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

I thought that, the contrast between the shades of green, LNER apple versus BR Brunswick. As for Tornado in Brunswick green, nah it looked superb in the early BR blue. As a very young train spotter I remember the then brand new A1s in blue although the later ones were turned out from new in Brunswick so Tornado, being the last of the line would never have been blue.
