The Bridge of The Trolls
by davidstorm
Underneath this rickety old bridge there once lived Trolls. Those who crossed did so at their peril and were dragged into the murky depths by the despicable creatures. However, lurking in the depths of the forest there was a greater evil that was carried down on the mist and consumed all in its path, even the Trolls. What was this evil? No-one knows, but it may still lurk there, only to re-appear on dark, dank Autumn and Winter mornings when the unsuspecting walk by.
Once the Trolls were gone, the bridge was no more a bridge, it was consumed by rot and moss and decay, but still the remains stand as a reminder, along with the ghosts of those lost in this place.

If I lived near this place I would bring offerings. Love the miasmic atmospherics, pleasing foreground and the info story is illustrative. Tg

You couldn't get more of a contrast with the other one. Even an Orc would shy away from this!
