Orchid Mantis

Took this photo, hand held with the 300mm on my K3 iii, the Mantis is tiny and I had to stand on the opposite side of the room to be far enough away to focus!! Very pleased with the final image though.

Nice capture , have you tried adding an extension tube to reduce your minimum focus distance - it opens up a whole new world

thanks Lenny, but on this day I didn’t expect to be taking close ups so didn’t have any extension tubes with me. ☹️
