What a wonderful capture, lovely details and colours. Hope you don't mind me suggesting but I think it would benefit if you cropped the crate on the right out

What beautiful light on his head! a very nice shot but I also agree with cropping the crate.

What a superb shot, I think I would crop some of the crate out but not all of it because I think it shows the environment that the fox has entered into, plus the stare draws you straight to the face. wonderful capture.

Thanks for the comments - for those purists I may post a more cropped image just to show the fox itself. The low winter sunlight makes the pic - as well as a fox that didn't turn a hair even when I got very close to him!!

I wouldn't crop a huge amount out of it. Agree with John that a bit of the environment can make the shot. Great colour and detail with some great light on the eyes.
