I used the da 55-300 lens,this lens does hunt a lot but for the money I think it's a cracking lens I use it all the time.

I haven't used mine for some time so perhaps I'd better 'dust it down' and give it another go.
The main drawback, as you say, is the hunting - especially with long distance shots.
