Classic treatment of this beautiful specimen. Am I right in thinking the Teal is one of the tail-less species of duck? Like.

They Teal is or smallest Duck and has a small yellow Tail In winter, birds congregate in low-lying wetlands in the south and west of the UK. Of these, many are continental birds from around the Baltic and Siberia. At this time, the UK is home to a significant percentage of the NW European wintering population making it an Amber List species.

Lovely shot of a duck that we get a large number of at Potteric Carr. However they gather on the islands a fair distance from the hides so I've never managed to get a shot anywhere near approaching this quality. The K3iii and 55-300 are a great combination.
