And nicely taken

I believe Halesowen in the West Midlands was once the centre for chain making - where was this ?

Best regards

It was taken in Dudley but is based on a place called Cradley Heath nearby where, believe it or not, women were employed making chains. There was a celebrated (and ultimatedly successful)strike in the early years of the last century in response to employers' exploitation (no change there then). There's some interesting stuff on the web about it if you're interested in labour relations and socialism, Peter.
Best wishes,

Andrew

It's a great thing you capturing social/working/environmental studies with an air of panache. They are growing into a very worthwhile collection.

The light sepia treatment is so appropriate! It's a beauty Andrew!
