"To what shall I lichen it?"

A 4 cm section of a twig covered in lichen. The close up revealed for me unimaginable beauty.
Kit kens plus Raynox DCR 150 macro conversion lens.

Lovely colours and detail. I also like it turned to portrait format where it looks like a totem pole.

Images like this one are what turn ordinary photographers into macro photographers. This is excellent.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Puns are like colour popping and marmite, you either love or hate them. Me: I reckon they're ok in the right context.
This picture though leaves no doubts, its a real beauty.
