What caught my eye was that silhouette in bottom middle, which appears to be a man with arms outstreched. Care to comment Grodgeman?

Whatever you like.
Machines, technology = fulfilment of human existence,
Cast iron = hardness, inflexiblility.
Pipes and stuff = enigma of the cosmos and all its workings.
Difference in sizes = relativity of things.
Window = revelation (small time).
Open arms = acceptance (any choice?).
Small sky = nothing much to accept.
And all this was made up as it was written…
No final message, just to catch the eye.
And provoke…
Forgive all this, but almost anything can be done with anything—and is.
