Beware - low flying Goose!

by fritzthedog

Another from my day testing my new backup body - the K-r with the 55-300. Taken on Sunday on Lake Windemere

For an entry level DSLR + Consumer Zoom - I am very impressed with the performance - especially as I accidently had the camera set to 'portrait mode'

The 55-300 is certainly a good performer - if a little annoying when it comes to af noise and speed. Nice capture

IMHO doesn't seem any noisier than any other non HSM Pentax AF zoom I own and faster than my 18-55 and 18-250 - but compared to - say - my Sigma 50-150 HSM - I woul agree, but that is a completely different animal

No matter how many lenses I have owned - I have always needed just one more
