The road to Porlock

by stevesphotos

(on the north Devon coast)
It's stormy, it's windy, it's stupid weather to be out taking photos …so black and white it is!

Yep, that's how I think of North Devon most of the time. A marvellous shot so beautifully controlled and structured.
Best wishes,

Andrew

Excellent shot, conveys brilliantly the inclement weather. I disagree by the way, these are exactly the conditions we should be taking photos in, especially with weather sealed Pentax cameras!

Very good photograph. I like those areas of sky light struggling through the clouds.

very well spotted and taken, been along that road quite a few times staying in Lynmouth, designated an area of extreme tranquility apparently.

I agree with David Storm. This is the weather that gives you moody atmospheric landscapes. Its a wonderful portrayal of the long winding road over a bleak moor; and not just the wild moors of the west country but also typical of the Pennines.

Powerful black and white. The long meandering road gives great sense of perspective as well as bringing us into the shot. Great capture. - mary.
