No, I think you're right, Steve. The car I was thinking of was a kind of two door version, a Consul Capri. They look very cool these days but I believe they weren't that great at the time.

If I remember rightly wasn't there a classic Capri which had the sloping rear window instead of the Z shaped of the "plain" classic, super car remember my eldest brother having one

Yes the coupe version of the Classic was indeed called the Capri!
