by GlynM

A small LED torch, suspended on a string from a microphone stand, was used to create this shot for the recent "Long exposure" fortnightly competition.

I love this, it is really great, a great idea, almost like a planet.

Many thanks. It was fun to set-up. I was originally aiming to create a spiral but it did not really work so I settled for a ring. You can see my best spiral attempt here.

The spiral is fantastic, too.

Many thanks guys.

The problem that caused me to give up on the spiral was the start and end points of the spiral.

I hid the start of the spiral behind the paperweight but hiding the end was a lot harder.
